TRACERT (Traceroute)

Sometimes while you know that things are blowing up, but you don’t know where. The cousin of PING, TRACERT will show you where the hang up is. This means that if you are not getting a connection to something or someone out there on the INTERNET or even on the network the TRACERT command can tell you if the address will be resolved to a hostname and if it is timing out or getting to the destination.
