Installation Requirements

Windows NT does awawy with support for older hardware. For example, no video cards standards except VGA are supported. While Microsoft claims NT will operate on less than a Pentium, don’t try it at home or at work. MS also says NT Workstation has a minimum requirement of 12 MB of ram. Notice they didn’t say it runs on 12 MB.

That is because it doesn’t. OK, the computer won’t refuse to load, and it won’t run either. The computer would be so slow; you would believe it was frozen.

NT Upgrade

NT will upgrade from Windows 95, provided it is sitting on a FAT 16 partition.
