DDR / PCxxxx

Just as with the processor, memory technologies are marching forward.

Double Data Rate RAM currently comes in three speeds, with a fourth coming sometime in 2003. Note that the 2003 entry, DDR400 requires another physical change in packaging. This means new system board to go with the new RAM.

The three DDR SDRAM offerings are:

  • DDR200 (PC 1600)

  • DDR266 (PC 2100)

  • DDR333 (PC 2700)
