The Gnome Desktop

Figure 355 shows a view of the desktop using Gnome. Gnome gives the desktop in a slightly different look and feel but provides all the same functionality that is found in KDE. The directory and file viewer shown in the figure is called Nautilus and can be used to perform similar functions as Konqueror. The stylized Gnome footprint, seen in the lower left-hand corner, has the same function as the stylized K in KDE.
