Checking for Disk Errors

Although a less common occurrence thanks to better manufacturing processes, disk- and file system errors still happen. These errors can manifest themselves as corrupt files or overly long delays when accessing the hard drive. It is important to find and fix these issues as quickly as possible. The method to resolve them differs depending on the version of Windows in use.
